Today’s Date in American History (America Version)
1938- Holy shit, really? There was no American event of note until 1938? This has got to be a low point for the “Today’s Date in American History.” Well anyway, Orson Wells freaked out a shitload of people today by doing a radio broadcast of War of the Worlds. Seriously, people thought they were being invaded by Aliens.
1945- Jackie Robinson was signed by the Brooklyn Dodgers, breaking the color barrier and causing at least one person reading this to go “…wait don’t you mean the Los Angeles Dodgers?”
2011- Yeah, no, this is the shortest “Today in American History” segment we’ve ever done.
